Invested in veterans' well-being
As huge contributors to our vision, purpose and mission, veteran employees are an integral part of 魅影直播鈥檚 culture, anchored by our values. We have established the Military/Veterans Employee Resource Group (M/VERG) for veterans and their families to connect professionally and socially.
The second-largest of our seven ERGs, the group holds regular meetings and events where more than 700 voluntary members can share their experiences, seek out peer guidance and celebrate each other鈥檚 contributions to our collective success. The M/VERG hosts regional on-site meetings and community outreach activities across its chapters, facilitating networking, career and personal growth and other opportunities.
鈥淰eterans who have joined the M/VERG are actively involved in our group鈥檚 mission and goals, participating in many events, including fundraising, talent acquisition, community outreach and mentoring,鈥 said M/VERG President Stefanie Wall-Keckler.
Additionally, the M/VERG has established partnerships with local community groups and national organizations that support the well-being of current and former military personnel. There are always volunteer activities and fundraising work being done by M/VERG members.
A good citizen to our communities
Local and national outreach with our nonprofit partners to help veterans and military families in need is deeply rooted in 魅影直播鈥檚 mission and values. We have a long history of philanthropic efforts to enhance the lives of those who have served in our armed forces.
魅影直播 is proud to partner with Building Homes for Heroes (BHH), bringing renewed hope to our nation鈥檚 disabled veterans and their families. BHH constructs or modifies homes and gifts them mortgage-free, while providing support services that enable disabled veterans to lead better and brighter lives. Since 2013, 魅影直播 has joined forces with BHH to help donate 13 homes to military heroes across the U.S., with our employee volunteers putting the final touches on these homes before welcoming the receiving families.
Each year, 魅影直播 sponsors numerous events to help military children in need. One of these is the Back-to-School Brigade with Operation Homefront, which fills kids' backpacks with donated school supplies. Another one is Project Elf with USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore, which makes the holiday wish lists of military children come true. We also partner with Marine Corps Toys for Tots to donate toys to less fortunate children during the holidays.
